the International Fountain at the Seattle Center is a popular place year-round. Despite the chilly temperatures, there were plenty of kids playing around the water, which is set to burst in time with the music that plays in the area.

these four kayaks are set to be launched from the back of a ferry going to San Juan Island, Washington. Sea kayaking is a popular sport around the islands in the area, although it takes some very warm clothing and some serious waterproofing to do so.

walking up the stairs from the Science Fiction Museum to the Experience Music Project at the Seattle Center at the base of Queen Anne hill at the north end of downtown Seattle. The building was designed by Frank Gehry and the color refraction off the ceiling and outside of the museum is a constantly changing art installation.
