The Oregon coast has become the vacation destination for thousands of sea lions. They are actually big pests, but are quite fun to watch. One of the places they hang out is in the Newport harbor.

the International Fountain at the Seattle Center is a popular place year-round. Despite the chilly temperatures, there were plenty of kids playing around the water, which is set to burst in time with the music that plays in the area.

this is the view looking southwest from American Camp on San Juan Island. American Camp is the site of the American fort that existed here about 100 years ago. There is only one building left. English Camp is on the opposite end of the island. The mountains in the distance are part of the Olympic range on the Olympic Peninsula.
